The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations have been announced.

HBO Max's The Pitt leads the field with 25 nominations, followed by the final season of Hacks with 24; which is a single-season record for a comedy. Apple TV's Widow's Bay (19), Pluribus (18), Netflix's Beef (16) round out the top five.

The ceremony will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay and broadcast Monday, September 14 on NBC, streaming on Peacock.
